In her work, she tries to find a balance between functional, aesthetic, and storytelling. Jewellery is a medium she uses to communicate with the world.
Mavis’s work has been exhibited nationally. Recently her works were selected for “Camp: A Spectacle of Rings”, exhibited in LaPai gallery, Ottawa, and for the 2021 Snag Student Exhibition. Also, her ‘Window’ series has been juried into The GIFTED Show, Circle Craft Gallery, Vancouver, BC. She won the Avondale Artist Village Pin Design Award (Halifax, NS) in 2021.
